The 27th IMPA Congress was held from 23 to 28 August in Bali, Indonesia, hosted by organising member INAMPA. The event brought together the global pilotage community to address the latest developments facing the profession and broader maritime operations.
Delegates from over 40 member countries, alongside sponsors, international organisations, and industry partners, convened for a week of constructive dialogue on the forces shaping the industry's future.
The agenda addressed key topics, including:
- Safety and navigation
- Remote pilotage
- Human capacity and capability building
- The growing role of AI in maritime operations
