MAY 2025 IS IMPA SAFETY MONTH

The IMPA Safety Survey has been providing vital data on the lived experience of pilots since 2007. The anonymised data has been used to inform critical decisions about pilot safety: concentrated inspection campaigns (CICs) by flag and port states and revising SOLAS regulation V/23 and new mandatory performance standards for pilot transfer arrangements.

The Safety Survey is a key instrument in IMPA's efforts to enhance the safety of personnel transfer operations, safeguarding lives at sea. In 2025, the IMPA Safety Survey will take place in MAY and not October. This is a response to stakeholder feedback and should result in greater participation around the world.
