Tetsuya Hakozaki

After graduating from Tokyo University of Merchant Marine in 1991, Capt. Tetsuya Hakozaki joined NYK Line, rising through the ranks to Ship Master in 2006. Headed the Maritime Training Division at NYK Line, overseeing the operation of merchant marine universities and in-house training vessels, conducting crew training using ship-handling, cargo-handling, and engine simulators, and developing e-learning materials. In 2024, he became a Pilot in the Naikai (Inland Sea) Pilotage District, and in 2026 was appointed Delegate of Japan to IMPA.
